Energy needs are inherent to any industry, although in many cases the transformation of energy is not part of the core of the production process or the business. However, effectively meeting these needs, both from a technological and management point of view, requires the withdrawal of human and other resources from the main activity of the business. Furthermore, sometimes it is necessary to have experience and knowledge that is not available in the organization. This is even more evident in the case of companies that have power generation facilities associated. Therefore, energy management frequently requires external support and advice.

At GEM, Energy Management is one of the fundamental pillars of our activity. Our team is made up of highly qualified professionals who have been working in this field for decades, along with others of more recent incorporation. Overall, at GEM we have extensive experience in energy management and efficiency of industrial facilities with and without associated power plants.

In each installation managed by GEM, monitoring of the energy parameters seeks to optimize its energy efficiency, which allows obtaining the greatest profit, since both concepts are directly related.

To achieve these objectives, by way of example, the following tasks are necessary:

• Monitoring and analyzing the operation parameters of each installation, in order to keep them always optimized.
• Keep the facilities adapted to regulatory changes.
• Negotiate in a satisfactory way the contracting of energy supplies.
• Maximize income from electrical and thermal sales.
• Maintain the facilities correctly to maximize the lifetime of its components.

No two industrial facilities are the same, so we always try to take an individualized approach and find the solutions that best suit each client.

In addition to the human resources already mentioned, at GEM we have the necessary software - including our own developments - for the correct monitoring of the facilities we manage, through connection to the different SCADA systems or electrical metering devices.

TRACKING AND MONITORING OF POWER PLANTS AND INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES
